Blast off into a month of space-themed science at Aberdeen Science Centre. Cosmic Adventures explores space travel, the technology used to study the universe and the science behind getting beyond Earth.
What to expect
In the Rocket Lab workshop, visitors can investigate rocket launches through hands-on experiments, including making and launching a paper rocket, exploring electrolysis and seeing the Genie in a Bottle demonstration.
Science on the Spot activities explore heat with an infrared camera, spectroscopy, the scale of the Solar System and how spacecraft are protected from extreme conditions.
Younger visitors can enjoy a special Under 6s session with the story of Penguinaut! and a cardboard tube rocket craft, while additional activities run around the exhibition floor.
Activities run on weekends and holidays throughout October 2026 and are included with general admission.
