Know what to expect before you visit
Our Visual Story takes you through Aberdeen Science Centre before you arrive, with photographs and information about the building, facilities and what you can expect during your visit.
It can be particularly helpful for visitors who feel more comfortable knowing what a new place will look and feel like in advance.
Need a quieter space?
Aberdeen Science Centre can be a busy place, with plenty of sounds, lights and activity. Our Sensory Space offers somewhere calmer to take a break whenever you need it.
Inside you’ll find dark dens, a weighted lap buddy, sensory fidgets, light-up resources and ear defenders.
Sensory Box
Prefer to keep exploring? Our Sensory Box contains fiddle toys and ear defenders that can be borrowed and taken around the centre during your visit. Just ask a member of the reception team when you arrive.
Free Tickets for Carers
Visitors who require support from a carer can receive a free Carer Ticket. Please bring proof of eligibility, such as an Access Card or official letter. Carer Tickets are currently available from reception rather than through online booking. Without proof of eligibility, standard admission prices apply.
Accessible facilities at ASC
We have a range of facilities to make getting around and spending time at Aberdeen Science Centre easier.
Wheelchair access
The centre is wheelchair accessible, with ramps provided for ease of access between areas.
Accessible toilets
Accessible toilets with emergency alarm systems are available within the centre.
Accessible parking
Accessible parking bays are available in our on-site car park on a first come, first served basis.
Induction loop
An induction loop is available at reception and in the gift shop.
Assistance dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the centre. A water bowl can be provided on request.
Changing facilities
Our Changing Places facility is located near reception and is available to anyone who needs it. You don't need to be visiting Aberdeen Science Centre to use it.

You’ll also find a First Aid Room, gift shop, bike parking and two electric vehicle charging points at Aberdeen Science Centre. Free on-site parking is available, with spaces offered on a first come, first served basis.
